Notarizing the father's waiver of transfer of custody

The Youth Welfare Office has to advise the father, who is not married to the mother, on the exercise of his rights.

The father may waive the application for transfer of parental authority. This declaration must be certified publicly or notarially.

Notarizations by the notary of the Youth Welfare Office are free of charge.

The waiver becomes effective upon receipt of the copy of the original by the competent family court.

If the parents are not married and have not made a joint declaration of custody, then the consent of the legal father before the birth of the child is already possible.
