Educational qualifications foreign

A foreign university degree may be conducted in the form awarded, indicating the lending institution. The given form here is the form corresponding to the text of the award certificate. In principle, it is not permissible to convert the foreign university degree into a corresponding domestic degree.
In the case of degrees from the EU, the indication of the lending university may normally be omitted; for certain doctoral degrees, different preferential regulations apply.

The Rhineland-Palatinate Higher Education Act regulates the conditions and in what form a foreign degree may be conducted in the sense of a statutory general authorisation. The management requirements must be independently checked by the degree holder.

There is no formal recognition of the university degree or degree.
A conversion of the foreign university degree with material equivalence to a corresponding domestic degree takes place only for late emigrants and late emigrants.
