Apply for type testing

In accordance with Section 75 (2) of the Rhineland-Palatinate State Building Code (LBauO), the type test is carried out by a testing office for structural analysis upon request. If the type test shows that the design complies with the regulations under public law and is suitable for the respective purpose, this must be established by means of an official decision. The type approval is revocable and issued for a specific period of time, which should not exceed five years; it can be extended by up to five years in each case upon application. A copy of the construction documents with the approval note must be sent to the applicant together with the type approval.
