Apply for designation as a test center (PSfF) for conducting theory tests for remote pilots

You can apply to be designated as a test center online.

• Call up the online application on the federal portal verwaltung.bund.de. This will guide you step by step through the necessary information.
• Upload the required documents and submit the application.
• The LBA will check your application.
• You will receive
  • a notification of fees and
  • a notice of approval with a certificate or
  • a notice of rejection.
• You pay the fees.

• You apply for designation as a test center as
  • organization or
  • sole proprietorship.
• You cannot apply for designation as a natural person.

• Proof of ownership of the main operating site, e.g. rental agreement, lease agreement or land register entry

• Management manual, including any associated annexes

• Training manual and any associated annexes

• Examination questionnaire

In the event of changes to the current designation, it depends on the nature of the changes whether evidence is required.

The LBA does not require any evidence when renewing a designation. However, if you are also applying for changes with your renewal, evidence of the changes may be required.

There is no deadline for applying for designation as a test center. However, please note the processing time.
