Apply for subsequent inclusion of spouses and descendants in the late resettler admission decision

If you are an ethnic German resettler, live in Germany and have family members (spouse, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren) who still live in the resettlement area, you can apply for them to be included retrospectively in your notification of admission.
If the family members to be included are of legal age, they must generally provide proof of German language skills (Certificate A 1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) before entering the federal territory. In this procedure, the Federal Office of Administration checks whether the family members meet the legal requirements to be subsequently included in the admission decision. If a notice of inclusion has been issued for the family members, they may enter the Federal Republic of Germany.
The family members must organize and pay for their departure (e.g. by train, bus or plane) themselves. Once your family members have arrived in Germany, they will first go to the Friedland branch office of the Federal Office of Administration. There they will be registered and assigned to a federal state. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the registration process is currently preceded by accommodation in transit accommodation funded by the federal government.
They can then take part in an integration course free of charge.
Their siblings, parents, parents-in-law and other relatives cannot be included.
