Applying for a duplicate of a radio operator's certificate

You can apply for a duplicate online, by post or by e-mail.
First transfer the fee for the issue of a duplicate.
Online application

• Call up the online application on the federal portal. This will guide you step by step through the necessary information, which you can enter electronically.
• Upload the required documents as a file and submit the application.
• The Federal Network Agency will send you the duplicate of your aeronautical radio certificate by post.

Application by post or e-mail:

• Go to the website of the Federal Network Agency and download the application form. Print out the application form.
• Send the completed and signed application to the Federal Network Agency office responsible for your examination location.
• The Federal Network Agency will send you the duplicate of your aeronautical radio certificate by post.

You have lost your radio operator's certificate or it has become unusable.

• Copy of your identity card or passport
• Proof that you have paid the application fee:
  • Payment slip or
  • for online transfers: Copy of the transfer order
• Copy of the original certificate if applicable or
• Copy of the pilot's license if you have obtained your radiotelephony license from a state aviation authority

For all applications if you are under 18 years of age:

• Copy of identity card of all legal guardians

There is no deadline.
