Youth Parliament
Source: BUS Rheinland-PfalzThe Youth Parliament (JuPa for short) represents the political interests of young people in a municipality. It aims to introduce young people to politics and to represent their political opinions. Essentially, it is a mouthpiece for the youth of a place and is democratically elected. In some cases, the place of residence in a municipality is decisive for the right to vote. In other cases, the place where the young people go to school is sufficient.
The youth parliament is active at the municipal level and ensures that the young people in community life are also heard with their topics and their proposals are discussed in the city or municipal council.
