Source: BUS Rheinland-PfalzAt the end of the election, the election committee determines how many votes have been cast for the individual election proposals in the electoral district. The electoral board appointed for postal voting determines how many votes were cast by postal vote for the individual nominations. The district and city electoral committees then determine how many votes have been cast for the individual nominations in the districts and independent cities. They have the right to review the findings of the electoral committees.
The Land electoral committees then determine how many votes have been cast in the Länder for the individual nominations. The Land electoral committee is entitled to make arithmetical corrections to the findings of the electoral boards and the district and city electoral committees. Finally, the Federal Electoral Committee determines how many votes have been cast in total for the individual nominations, how many seats are allocated to the individual nominations and which candidates have been elected. The Federal Electoral Committee is entitled to make arithmetical corrections to the findings of the Land electoral committees.
