Foreigner hunting license - apply for a day hunting license for the first time

You can submit the application in writing or, if available, online.

If you submit the application in writing, fill it out and submit it by post or in person to the competent authority.

The application and the evidence to be provided will be checked for completeness and correctness.

If you meet all the requirements, you will be issued a foreigner hunting license.

You can apply for the day hunting licence for foreigners at the lower hunting authority in whose area of responsibility you would like to hunt for the most part.

The responsibility is incumbent on the lower hunting authority.

• at least 18 years old at the time of issuance
• Your main residence is not in Germany
• personal reliability
• Physical aptitude
• Hunting liability insurance
• Passed hunter's exam or comparable proof

• Identity card
• Hunting licence issued by the home country in the last three years
• current photograph
• Proof of statutory hunting liability insurance

The day hunting license is valid for 14 consecutive days.
