Applying for excursion permits and stationing

You can apply for a change or extension of the general excursion permit, an individual excursion permit or a stationing or changes or extensions to these online or by post or fax.

Online application:

• Go to the website of the federal portal verwaltung.bund.de and complete the online application.
  • You will need a federal ID account to apply online.
• You can upload your documents directly.
• The Luftfahrt-Bundesamt (LBA) will check your application and contact you if there are any queries or incomplete documents.
• After a positive review of your application and your documents, you will receive a notification and a fee notice. You can call up the decision on the federal portal.
• You will receive the adjusted general departure permit and the correspondingly adjusted Air Operator Certificate (AOC) or the individual departure permit or stationing permit by post as a notification.

Application by post or fax:

• Call up the forms on the LBA website.
• Complete the forms and compile the required documents.
• Send all documents to the LBA.
• The further procedural steps are the same as for the online application.

• As the applicant, you are acting on behalf of a German air carrier with a valid operating license.
• The application cannot be submitted as a representative.

Depending on the ICAO region, you must meet various requirements for all forms of application for departure permits or stationing, which will be checked by the LBA after the application has been submitted.

• Proof of insurance that the aircraft affected by the approval or modification are insured in your company for the relevant period and the named destination with regard to
  • passengers,
  • baggage,
  • goods and third parties and
  • delayed transportation

You do not have to submit certain documents at the time of application. You can submit these documents at a later date.

• § Section 93 Air Traffic Licensing Regulations (LuftVZO)

• Contradiction
  You can lodge an objection within 1 month.
