Health insurance companies offer spa stays as measures to prevent illness. These include

Mother-child cures (measure)
Father-child cures (measure)

Children can either go along for their own treatment or (usually up to the age of 12) as an accompanying person.

As a rule, the health insurance companies select a suitable spa clinic, but take individual wishes into account.

A cure lasts three weeks. You do not have to submit any leave to your employer for this period. The approval is valid as a certificate of incapacity for work.

For mothers and fathers:

Their health is severely weakened. This condition could probably lead to illness in the foreseeable future.
An illness that has already occurred should not worsen
there is a risk of needing care

For taking children with you:

You have parental authority
The child/children are also at risk of health problems or are ill.
The child/children cannot be cared for in any other way.

The child/children are still too young to be separated from the parent.
