Promoting dental disease prevention in children and adolescents
Source: BUS Rheinland-PfalzIn order to detect tooth damage and malpositions of teeth in children at an early stage, the statutory health insurance companies offer dental group prophylaxis for children and adolescents. The aim is to:
- to give children an awareness and sense of responsibility for the health of their teeth
- improve oral hygiene
- To detect and prevent dental diseases
- To inform parents and advise them on request.
Dental group prophylaxis is carried out in crèches, kindergartens, schools and institutions for people with disabilities.
