Apply for approval as an energy expert for the federal program Energy Efficiency in Agriculture and Horticulture

You can apply online to the BLE for approval as an expert:

• Call up the online form. You will be guided step by step through the necessary information.
• Upload any required documents and submit the form online.
• The BLE will check your application and contact you if anything is unclear or information is missing.
• If the check is successful, the BLE will send you your approval.

• You have at least one of the following qualifications:
  • Completed university or university of applied sciences degree in a relevant field of agricultural, engineering or natural sciences
  • Approval as an authorized person to issue certificates for non-residential buildings in accordance with Section 21 of the Energy Saving Ordinance in conjunction with Annex 11, numbers 1, 3 and 4: Professionals with a university degree in interior design, architecture, civil engineering, building services engineering, physics, building physics, mechanical engineering or electrical engineering State-certified technician in a relevant field of study
  • Master craftsman's degree in a relevant field
• You have acquired qualified knowledge of agricultural production processes through studies, vocational training or the agricultural energy consultant training course.
• You have qualified knowledge of energy efficiency.
• You can provide evidence of at least 3 years of full-time professional activity in which you have acquired practical knowledge of operational energy consulting or agricultural consulting.
• You can prove your independence and rule out conflicts of interest. This means, for example, that you are not employed by or involved in any energy supply company. Further criteria for independence can be found in the legal basis in Section 7.1 of the Guideline for the Promotion of Energy Efficiency and CO2 Savings in Agriculture and Horticulture Part A.

• Extract from the commercial register or a business registration of the company for which you are working as an expert, or proof of self-employment
• Curriculum vitae in tabular form
• Proof of 3 years of full-time employment in energy consulting or agricultural consulting
• Proof of qualification in agriculture or horticulture, e.g. training certificates and specialist reports
• Proof of qualification in the areas of energy efficiency and CO₂ saving methods, e.g. training certificates and specialist reports

There is no application deadline.
