Request personal data information
Source: BUS Rheinland-PfalzPursuant to Section 23 (1) of the Security Clearance Act, you can request information about what data has been stored about you as part of a security check.
It is not only the person concerned (person subject to a security check) who is entitled to information, but also any person whose personal data has been stored as part of a security check, for example the person involved, the reference and information persons, the parents, the employer or persons over the age of 18 living in the household of the person concerned who were specified in the security declaration.
The right to information is not unlimited; it can be waived in accordance with Section 23 (3) of the Security Clearance Act.
Furthermore, according to Section 23 (2) of the Security Clearance Act, information on certain data can only be provided with the consent of the cooperating authority.
