Soil protection / contaminated sites Experts and investigation bodies
Source: BUS Rheinland-PfalzIn accordance with the provisions of soil protection legislation, individuals or companies can be approved as experts and/or investigation bodies for specified tasks in soil protection and the treatment of contaminated sites. For this purpose, the information system "Recherche System Messstellen und Sachverständige" (ReSyMeSa) of the federal states is maintained nationwide, in which the experts and investigation bodies approved or recognized in the respective federal states are listed and can be researched. ReSyMeSa also contains the state-specific regulations on the approval and recognition of experts and inspection bodies as well as the responsible state offices.
As an official information system, ReSyMeSa lists the experts and investigation bodies in the environmental sector for the specialist modules Waste, Soil / Contaminated sites, Immission control and Water. The specialist module Soil / Contaminated sites contains the approved or recognized investigation bodies (laboratory analysis) and experts.
In principle, approval or recognition as an expert is possible for one or more of the following subject areas:
- areal and site-specific survey and historical investigation
- Hazard assessment for the soil - water impact pathway
- Risk assessment for the soil - plant impact pathway, precautionary measures to
- Limiting substance inputs into the soil and when applying and introducing materials
- Risk assessment for the soil - human impact pathway,
- remediation
- Hazard identification, assessment and prevention of harmful soil changes due to soil erosion by water.
The ReSyMeSa specialist module Investigation body explicitly lists the certified laboratory analysis methods (usually stating the DIN regulations) for the approved or recognized investigation bodies.
