Commercial Gaming Agency Apply for a permit

The application can be made in writing or by e-mail to the Supervisory and Services Directorate. As part of the examination procedure, the authority may provide information on the application and/or request additional claims or corrections.

The mediation may only take place for organisers who have a licence from the competent authority of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate or the competent authority pursuant to § 27f (1) and § 27p (1) of the State Treaty on Gambling 2021. In the case of action in several or all federal states, the Lower Saxony Ministry of the Interior and Sport is responsible in accordance with § 27p Abs. 1 Nr. 5 Glücksspielstaatsvertrag 2021; from 01.01.2023, responsibility will be transferred to the Joint Gaming Authority of the Länder.

The responsibility lies with the Supervisory and Services Directorate Trier.

Granting of a licence to operate as a commercial gaming agent per game of chance offered in accordance with Section 1.5 of the Annex to the State Ordinance on Fees in the Field of Gaming (Special Schedule of Fees)

There is no specific deadline. The application must be submitted in sufficient time to allow sufficient time for thorough processing.
