Training in the field of child and adolescent psychotherapy concludes with a state examination. It comprises at least 4,200 hours and consists of practical and theoretical components as well as self-awareness. The training lasts at least 3 years full-time and at least 5 years part-time.
You must register for admission to the examination. Proof that you have passed the examination is a prerequisite for licensure as a child and adolescent psychotherapist.
