Waste management: testing bodies (testing laboratories and measuring points) - determination/notification
Source: BUS Rheinland-PfalzThe conservation of natural resources and the safeguarding of environmentally friendly disposal (i.e. primarily recycling or disposal) of waste is the aim of the Closed Substance Cycle Management Act (KrWG). The ecologically and economically optimized management of resources (including waste) is characterized by resource-saving production methods and processes for the avoidance and recycling of waste. To ensure compliance with these requirements, measurements (investigations) are necessary.
Investigations after the
- Sewage Sludge Ordinance (AbfKlärV),
- Waste Oil Ordinance (Waste Oil Ordinance),
- Biowaste Ordinance (BioAbfV),
- Waste Wood Ordinance (AltholzV)
may only be carried out by experts or investigating bodies designated by the competent authority, i.e. notified.
The transnational "Waste Specialist Module", which regulates the notification of inspection bodies as well as the requirements for determining and regularly monitoring the technical competence of inspection bodies (measuring and testing centres), sets out the requirements for the quality of inspection bodies (measuring and testing centres) in accordance with the above-mentioned regulations.
