If you
- slaughter at least 50 livestock units on average per week as an operator of a slaughterhouse or as a trader, or
- provide workers who feed, numb or bleed to slaughter animals,
you shall designate to the competent authority a person responsible for compliance with the requirements of the Animal Welfare Act.
In individual cases, operators of the following livestock holdings, establishments and establishments may also be required to designate a person authorised to issue instructions:
- livestock farming, including horse husbandry,
- Facilities in which
- animal tests are carried out,
- interventions or treatments are carried out on animals for training, further education or further education,
- interventions or treatments are carried out on vertebrate animals for the production, extraction, storage or propagation of substances, products or organisms;
- vertebrate organs or tissues are taken whole or in part for the purpose of transplantation or cultivation or examination of isolated organs, tissues or cells, or
- kill vertebrates for scientific purposes or for training, further education or training,
- Facilities and establishments,
- transporting animals commercially,
- where animals are fed, cared for or housed during transport,
- Circus establishments which are not commercially operated.
