Apply for a change of entry in the list of air sports equipment
Source: BUS Rheinland-PfalzThe data of all ultralight aircraft (UL) licensed in Germany are stored in the air sports equipment register. ULs are
- Ultralight airplanes,
- ultralight helicopters and
- gyrocopters are stored.
If you purchase a used aircraft that is subject to registration, you must register it with your air sports association.
In contrast to new equipment, you do not have to re-register used equipment that has already been registered, but only apply for the changes in the register of air sports equipment.
You must also notify us if your personal details such as your place of residence and name change.
The air sports equipment will then be transferred to your ownership and the entry in the register of air sports equipment will be changed.
Ultralight aircraft requiring registration include three-axis aircraft, trikes, gyrocopters and paramotor trikes with an empty weight of over 120 kilograms.
Personal data such as the name and address of the owner as well as technical data, for example, the type and model of the aircraft and the type and model of the aircraft are stored:
- Type and model of aircraft and airframe serial number,
- nationality and registration mark of the aircraft and
- the sheet number of the aircraft register.
Under special circumstances, German authorities may access your data. This applies
- for administrative measures in the field of air traffic,
- for the prosecution of infringements of aviation regulations or
- for the prosecution of criminal offenses or for the prevention of threats to public safety.
You must carry the certificate of registration with you when operating your aircraft.
