Recognize inspection experts for technical systems
Source: BUS Rheinland-PfalzParticularly skilled and qualified persons in the field of technical building equipment can apply for recognition as inspection experts for technical systems in order to be able to carry out the inspection before commissioning and the recurring inspections of systems subject to mandatory inspection in accordance with building regulations.
The application for recognition as an inspection expert or inspection expert for technical installations must be submitted in writing to the supreme building supervisory authority. The application must state the discipline for which recognition is requested and whether and how often a procedure for recognition as an inspection expert or inspection expert for technical installations, including outside the state of Rhineland-Palatinate, has been unsuccessful.

Please contact the Ministry of Finance as the supreme building supervisory authority.
The requirements for recognition can be found in Section 4 of the State Ordinance on the Testing of Technical Installations (AnlPrüfVO).
The application must be accompanied by the required information and evidence in accordance with Section 5 (2) of the State Ordinance on the Inspection of Technical Installations.
In particular, these are the following documents

a certificate of citizenship,
-
a curriculum vitae with complete details of the professional career and professional activity at the time of application,

Copies or photocopies of diplomas from universities and training institutions as well as all certificates of previous employment,
-
a declaration that an application has been made for a certificate of good conduct intended for submission to an authority (Section 30 (5) of the Federal Central Register Act) or an equivalent document from a Member State of the European Union or a country with equivalent status under European Community law; the certificate of good conduct or equivalent document should not be older than three months,
-
a list of available testing equipment, aids and facilities that can be used at short notice,
-
proof that the requirements under Section 4 (1) nos. 1, 3 and 4 have been met, whereby the requirement under Section 4 (1) no. 4 must be proven by a certificate in accordance with paragraph 3, and
-
a declaration that there are no grounds for refusal pursuant to Section 4 (1) No. 8 and (2).
Fees of currently EUR 100.00 to EUR 500.00 are incurred for participation in the recognition procedure in accordance with No. 3.4.3 of the State Ordinance on Fees for Official Acts of the Building Supervisory Authorities and on the Remuneration of the Services of Structural Engineers (Special List of Fees) of January 9, 2007 (GVBl. p. 22), as amended.
Proof of professional suitability is provided by means of an examination at a body designated by the recognition authority and the costs incurred for this are also to be borne by the participant in the examination. The amount and scope of the examination fees depend on the examination location and the requirements of the examination board.

A decision on the application for recognition must be made within three months of submission of the complete application documents (Section 42a of the Administrative Procedure Act).
