Applying for an exemption from the permit requirement for ammunition

You can obtain an exemption as follows:

1. You make an application and submit the required documents,
2. the required documents will be checked and you may have to submit further required documents
3. the requirements of § 12 Paragraph 5 WaffG are checked
4. the decision under firearms law is made.

Responsibility lies with the local weapons authorities of the independent cities and districts responsible for your place of residence or habitual abode.
