Subsidies for training allowances for disabled people

Subsidies for training allowances may be granted for the in-company initial or further training of disabled people in training occupations if initial or further training would otherwise not be possible.

The amount of the subsidies amounts to up to 60 percent of the monthly training allowance for the last year of training, for severely disabled people (degree of disability of at least 50 percent) up to 80 percent. In justified exceptional cases, the subsidy may also be paid up to the full amount of the training allowance.

The grant can be paid for the entire period of training.

Hint: When severely disabled people are taken on as an employment relationship following the completion of training or further education, an integration grant of up to 70 percent of the eligible salary can be provided for a period of one year, provided that the above-mentioned subsidies have been paid during the training or further education.

Preconditions

• Conclusion of an apprenticeship contract
• Trainee is disabled or severely disabled (degree of disability of at least 50 percent)
• Education or training is not achievable without funding
• in the case of employment after training or further education: conclusion of an employment contract (employment subject to compulsory insurance)
