Village renewal: private funding
Source: BUS Rheinland-PfalzThe village renewal is intended to support a sustainable and future-proof development of the village and to preserve and further develop the village as an independent living, working, social and cultural space. The preservation or strengthening of the functional diversity of the villages in economic, ecological, social and cultural terms is a main concern of village renewal. The main tasks of village renewal include in particular structural improvement measures, which above all also contribute to the stabilization or strengthening of the town centers.
Furtherances:
Grants are granted for the following projects (exemplary list):
- Creation of new living space in town centres by converting vacant buildings or closing gaps in scale, village architecture (additional design expenses);
- structural measures within the local area for the preservation and re-establishment of workplaces close to homes;
- investment projects to secure and expand a needs-based local basic supply of goods and services, the creation and functional improvement of public service facilities, especially in buildings or facilities that shape the townscape or landscape; exceptionally, also projects which are necessary for the establishment of a sponsor of the measure;
- Improvement of the living environment by dismantling sealed areas into near-natural open spaces;
- structural measures for the renewal, removal, conversion or extension of older buildings that shape the site and landscape or are of public importance with courtyards and green areas, including additional expenditures due to monument preservation and building ecology
The grant amounts to up to 35 % of the eligible expenditure per object per individual project, but no more than 30,000 euros. For projects that
- for the maintenance and re-establishment of workplaces close to homes, or
- serve to secure and expand a needs-based local basic supply of goods and services,
the donation can be increased to 40,903 euros.
No funding:
Projects that are not eligible for funding are:
- which represent wholly or predominantly cosmetic repairs or serve the construction maintenance,
- which constitute measures in new development areas,
- that have already been started
