Apply for a traffic order for construction sites and construction measures

If you are a building contractor planning work that will have an impact on road traffic, you must apply for and agree traffic regulation measures with the competent authority before starting the work. These measures are intended to ensure that road traffic is not endangered. You will receive a traffic order for this.
The order will specify

• how you must cordon off and mark the work site,
• how you must restrict, divert or regulate traffic,
• whether and how you must mark closed roads and detours.

The order is binding. You are obliged to comply with the measures specified therein and, if necessary, to set up traffic lights.
