Participate in an urban development concept for urban redevelopment
Source: BUS Rheinland-PfalzAn (integrated) urban development concept, SEK or ISEK for short, is a strategic plan that serves to further develop a city or urban districts. If a municipality intends to draw up a SEK or ISEK, it makes this public.
As a citizen or business, you can participate in the preparation of an ESDC for urban redevelopment. This allows you to help shape the objectives and measures in the urban redevelopment area.
As a representative of public interests, you will be asked by the responsible authority to submit a statement if it determines that you are affected.
The competent authority takes the results of the participation into account in the IUDC.
A jointly adopted IUDC generally consists of:
- Draft resolution, for example with details of
- the objectives,
- the measures and
- the proposed timetable
- Decision protocol with documentation of the decisions of the responsible committees
- Urban development concept with the description
- the long-term development and
- of the conversion of a city or district
- Action plan with a detailed description of the planned projects
- Financing plan with an overview of the available financial resources
Once the responsible municipality has adopted the IUDC, it informs the public about it.
