Mining Notification of drilling work Acceptance

You can submit the notification of drilling work via the notification portal of the State Office for Geology and Mining Rhineland-Palatinate (LGB):

• Go to the Ad Portal .
• Click on "Create ad" and fill out the ad form completely and truthfully.
• Submit the ad.
• You will receive a confirmation message by e-mail in which you
  • the unique identification number (GUID) for your ad,
  • a summary of your ad in PDF format, and
  • Find a link to upload/scan results in the Ad Portal.

The LGB will review your notification and the documents submitted. If documents are missing, the authority will contact you.

Please contact the State Office for Geology and Mining Rhineland-Palatinate (LGB).

You must submit the following verification data:

• Title and purpose of the project
• Information about the reporting person or company (the distinction between legal and natural person is essential for data protection reasons)
• Information on clients (the distinction between state and non-state data holders is absolutely necessary in order to be able to determine the correct disclosure obligations)
• Detailed information on the drilling project: including drive power of the drilling tool, information on the drilling rig, proof of the last 4-year expert examination
• Confirmation of the privacy policy

If timely notification is not possible due to short lead times – for example, because there is imminent danger or in the case of short-term investigations on the basis of framework agreements – you must submit the notification immediately after order acceptance and planning.

• Manual for the display of boreholes via the display portal of the State Office for Geology and Mining Rhineland-Palatinate (LGB)

If you have already reported the drilling to the responsible mining authority for an approximate time frame, the exact date of the start of drilling must be added after the start of drilling has been determined.

In certain circumstances, the mining authority may require an operating plan for your well.
