Apply for federal coronavirus bridging aid for professional sport

You must apply for corona aid for professional sports via an electronic procedure (online portal). To do this, you must first register.

Registration procedure:

• The authorized representative appointed by you as the applicant must first register in the online portal.
• After submitting the registration data, the authorized representative will receive an e-mail to verify his/her e-mail address. After successful verification, a PIN letter will be sent to the authorized representative's business address.
• The PIN is then required for the actual application.

Note: Please note that the authorized representative's business address must match the address in the relevant professional register, otherwise the registration cannot be completed successfully.

• The registration process can take some time, for example the PIN letter can take up to 5 working days to be sent. Early registration is therefore recommended.

Application:

• Applications are also submitted via the electronic procedure/online portal provided.
• The link to the application page will be sent to your authorized representative by e-mail after successful registration.
• Your authorized representative goes to the link on the application page and completes the application. In order to be able to submit an application, the file number from the above-mentioned e-mail and the PIN from the PIN letter are required.
• The required documents must be uploaded directly to the portal by your authorized representative. The documents do not need to be sent to the BVA by post. The application is submitted fully electronically.
• Once the application has been processed, the applicant authorized by you will receive the approval notice or, if applicable, the rejection notice by post.
• Payment is made immediately after the notification of approval has been delivered.

Applications can be submitted by

• Tax consultant,
• Certified public accountant,
• attorney at law or
• sworn auditors who are authorized by the applicant.

Further requirements:

• You must not have had more than 249 employees in 2019 and 2020.
• From the time of approval until June 30, 2021, you must refrain from dismissals for operational reasons.
• As an applicant, you must not have already been in difficulties within the meaning of the General Block Exemption Regulation on December 31, 2019.
• At the time of application and until the equitable benefit is granted, you must not have filed an application for the opening of insolvency proceedings or be in ongoing insolvency proceedings.

Application requirements for compensation for loss of income from tickets:

• As an applicant, you will not participate or only partially participate in league and cup events as well as regular competitions in the months of January to June 2021 due to the outbreak of COVID-19 or will not be able to host or hold them.
• Ticket revenue losses of at least EUR 2,500 in total must have occurred or be incurred.

Application requirements for compensation of further losses:

• You have made or will make losses for the eligible period from January 1, 2021 to June 30, 2021 that are not due to the loss of ticket revenue.
• Your total turnover has decreased by at least 30 percent within the eligible period compared to the period from January 1, 2019 to June 30, 2019 and the decrease in turnover is at least EUR 2,500.

  • a bank confirmation,
  • proof of authorization by the club/association/company,
  • proof of authorization to represent the applicant club/association/company (up to three persons).
• for the application:
  • the actual ticket revenue from league and cup events and regular competitions (excluding VAT) from January 1 to June 30, 2019 (total and event-related breakdown),
  • the actual or estimated ticket revenue from league and cup events and regular competitions (excluding VAT) from January 1 to June 30, 2021 (total and event-related statement)
  • turnover from January 1 to June 30 in 2019 (total and monthly breakdown)
  • turnover from January 1 to June 30, 2021 (total and monthly breakdown),
  • the amount of losses incurred or to be incurred from January 1 to June 30, 2021 (total and monthly statement)
