Source: BUS Rheinland-PfalzHead lice infestation is the most common parasitic disease in Europe. Anyone can get head lice. This is not due to a lack of hygiene.
Especially in places where many children come together, head lice are transmitted quickly. Parents therefore have to deal with the issue of head lice again and again.
According to § 34 paragraph 1 of the Infection Protection Act (IfSG), children with head lice are not allowed to enter rooms of the community facility, use facilities of the community facility or participate in events of the community facility until, according to medical judgment, there is no longer any fear of spreading the lice. Parents/guardians must inform the communal facility immediately of the head lice infestation in accordance with Section 34 (5) IfSG. The management of the community facility must notify the public health department immediately in accordance with Section 34 (6) and provide information on the disease and personal details.
