Report an accident or special incident in mining

Has an accident or dangerous incident occurred in your mining operation? Then you must report the following immediately:

Operational incidents that have led or could lead to the death or serious injury of one or more persons, and
Operational incidents, knowledge of which is important in order to prevent or eliminate risks to the life and health of employees or third parties or which are particularly important for safe operation.

You can report special operational incidents online via the "BergPass" platform or directly to your local mountain authority.

If you want to report special incidents or accidents online via the "BergPass" platform:

Call up the "BergPass" online platform and log in.
To register, you need a "My company account" or a bundID.
Call up the form and fill it out completely and truthfully.
Upload the required documents as a file and submit the form.

If you would like to report special operational events directly to the responsible mining authority:

Contact your competent mining authority and coordinate the required documents.
Submit the notification and all required documents to your competent mining authority.

Further procedure:

The competent authority will check your notification and the documents submitted.
If any documents are missing or further action is required, the mining authority will contact you.
