Consumer protection

The aim of consumer protection is to protect people in their role as consumers from the harmful or adverse effects of consumer goods and services.
Consumer information and advice is provided in Rhineland-Palatinate by established consumer protection organisations. In the field of nutrition and consumer education, there are a large number of projects that are carried out by the state government in cooperation with various Rhineland-Palatinate consumer protection organizations. One focus is on school cooperation.
Consumer protection is commonly divided into two areas: economic and health-related consumer protection.
