Apply for automatic validation to be entered in the pilot's license

You can apply for automatic validation online:

• Go to the federal portal verwaltung.bund.de and complete the online application.
• You can upload your documents directly and apply for the authorizations.
• Submit the application online.
• The LBA will check your application
• You will receive a decision, additional result documents and a fee notice.
• After you have paid the fees, you can retrieve the decision in the form of the automatic validation and receive the newly issued license by post.

• You must be in possession of a valid license
• You must be in possession of the latest edition of the ICAO Annex. This must contain
  • ICAO registration number of the agreement recognizing the automatic validation of licenses
  • List of states that have signed this agreement
• You must not have held a flight license or rating of the same scope and in the same category. This applies if you have applied for this rating or it has been issued by an EU member state.

  • suspended.
• They are
  • a natural person from Germany, an EU country or a third country
  • a legal entity based in Germany or represented by natural persons from Germany, an EU country or a third country.

• Completed criminal offense declaration form

in the case of representation:

• Proof of authorization to represent
