Recognition of the title of specialist veterinarian

• You apply in writing for recognition of your continuing education title.
• Submit the application together with the required documents to the competent authority.
• The competent authority shall acknowledge receipt of the application and, where appropriate, indicate any documents still missing.
• After examining the documents submitted, you will receive awritten notification of the decision.
• The State Chamber of Veterinarians will issue you with a certificate for the use of the continuing education title.

• veterinary license to practice medicine
• Professional experience and professional activity in accordance with the continuing education regulations

• Proof of completed further training (certificates and proofs)
• Proof of nationality
• where applicable, a certificate attesting to the duration and typeof professional activities carried out as a veterinarian in an EU or EEA country or in Switzerland
• Proof of the contents of continuing training in the form of continuing training regulations, examination regulations or in another suitablemanner, from which the course contents and the duration of the completed continuing training are shown for obtaining thecertificate of continuing training
• Statement as to whether and, if so, with what result you have submitted a corresponding application, passed an aptitudetest or completed an adaptation period in another Land of the Federal Republic of German country.

Note: You must also attach foreign-language documents in an officiallycertified translation. The translation must be carried out by a publicly appointed and sworn translator in Germany.
