Apply for instructor approval and proof of qualification for dangerous goods in air transport
Source: BUS Rheinland-PfalzIf you want to conduct dangerous goods training in aviation, you need an instructor's license. The training organization must apply for this from the Federal Aviation Office (LBA) before the first training course. The LBA will check the application and issue you with the instructor approval.
With the training approval, you are authorized to teach the requested modules.
To carry out basic and recurring dangerous goods training in the field of dangerous goods transport by air, you must complete at least 2 training courses within 24 months in order to maintain your approval.
If you wish to carry out dangerous goods training for modules A, C and F, you must provide the Federal Aviation Office with evidence of comprehensive knowledge of the transportation of dangerous goods by air. To do this, you must provide written proof of qualification in the form of an examination before the first training course.
You can take the examination for the proof of qualification a maximum of 3 times. There must be at least 4 weeks between the 1st and 2nd attempt and at least 6 months between the 2nd and 3rd attempt.
