Specialist information system for soil (FISBO)

Data available on the topic of preventive soil protection in Rhineland-Palatinate is made available to the public online in maps via the map viewer on the homepage of the State Office for Geology and Mining (LGB) (e.g. soil properties, soil functions, soil erosion risk, soils worthy of protection and soils in need of protection, background values for topsoil). The data is also provided as OGC services.

In addition to the provision of information via the map viewer, there are also very individual or special requests, which are usually submitted by experts in the field of soil protection. Such requests are so individual in terms of data provision and data content that they cannot be tailored in advance, but are clarified with the client on a case-by-case basis. The number of such requests is around 10 per year.
