The competent Structural and Approval Directorate North or Structural and Approval Directorate South is responsible for receiving notifications in the commercial sector.

The municipal administrations of the independent cities and the district administrations are responsible for receiving notifications in the non-commercial sector.

Fully completed notification form with any necessary site plans.

There are no fees or costs.

• At least two weeks in advance
• in the immediate vicinity of railroad facilities, airports or federal waterways that are maritime waterways, at least four weeks in advance.

Procedure
The notification must be made in writing in duplicate. The notification must contain all information on safety measures, in particular barrier measures and other precautions to protect the neighborhood and the general public.

If changes to the content of the notification occur after the notification has been submitted, a notification of change is also required in duplicate.
