Restaurant: Continuation of the business

Contact the competent restaurant authority.

For Rhineland-Palatinate, this is

• the municipal administration of the non-affiliated municipalities
• the Verbandsgemeindeverwaltung of the municipalities belonging to the association

as well as

• the city administration of the district-free and large district-affiliated cities

• IHK information or proof of a vocational qualification in a relevant profession
   
• Death certificate of the permit holder

They must immediately notify the continuation of operations.

An informal application is sufficient.

However, the person entitled to continue can also obtain permission in accordance with the Restaurant Act. This would be considered if he/she needs a permit anyway when adding rooms.

At the same time, a complaint must be filed.
