Housing promotion: Promoting housing construction Acquisition of cooperative shares

The state of Rhineland-Palatinate offers households assistance with the creation of owner-occupied housing as part of its social housing promotion program. The state supports households that are unable to find adequate housing on the market and are dependent on assistance.

The state supports the establishment of housing cooperatives by promoting the purchase of cooperative shares. This support enables households to become members of a housing cooperative and thus obtain the right to use an apartment themselves.

The state of Rhineland-Palatinate provides funding together with the Investitions- und Strukturbank Rheinland-Pfalz (ISB) in the form of low-interest ISB loans. The state guarantees up to 80% of the ISB loans.
