KfW promotional loans for barrier reduction and burglary protection measures in existing residential buildings

KfW only grants low-interest loans under this program through the mediation of banks, savings banks and other financing institutions.

Make an appointment with your financing partner (e.g. your bank or savings bank) before starting the modernization measures, the burglary protection measures or the purchase of the modernized property. They will apply for the promotional loan from KfW on your behalf. (See procedure)

The application must be submitted before the start of the project. The start of a project is deemed to be the start of construction work on site. Planning and consulting services as well as the conclusion of supply and service contracts are not yet considered the start of the project. In the case of an application for funding for the initial purchase of appropriately converted living space, the conclusion of the purchase contract is deemed to be the start of the project.

Your financial institution will require standard bank collateral for the loan. You must also prove to your financial institution that the funds have been used for the intended purpose.

The interest rate of the loan depends on its term and the agreed fixed interest rate and is between 0.75 and 1.06 percent APR.
