Housing promotion: Housing construction Promotion of social rental housing
Source: BUS Rheinland-PfalzFor all rental housing subsidy programs offered here, the recipient assumes obligations in return for the subsidy funds, in particular occupancy and rent commitments. They undertake to rent only to households that meet the specified income limits and not to charge more than the agreed rent, which is regularly below the market rent level.
Funding is granted for individual projects on the basis of the published funding programs, which conclusively define the funding requirements and conditions, by means of funding commitments in accordance with the available budget funds. Recipients of funding can be both domestic and foreign investors (e.g. companies, private individuals). Funding is available on equal terms to anyone who builds a project described in the funding programs or provides existing housing and complies with the required occupancy and rental commitments.
The funding decision (funding approval) determines in particular the purpose of the funding, the amount and type of funding as well as the type and duration of the occupancy and rental commitments to be observed by the funding recipient.
Note: There is no legal entitlement to funding.
